The gantry is the heart of your cutting table. It contains all the moving parts. It operates in a hostile environment (abrasive cutting dust residue) and must perform complex movement very rapidly and flawlessly.
Our gantry is constructed of light, but rigid aluminum extrusions held together by special purpose fasteners creating a unitized structure capable of withstanding quick directional changes at high speed. This gantry is designed to operate in the 1000 inch per minute speed range. Many $70,000 commercial cutting tables are not able to achieve this type of speed. We are able to do this by providing you a light, strong gantry system powered by a strong dependable drive package.
Smooth operation is assured by floating each drive motor on independent spring suspension. Cheaper gantry systems depend on two error prone stepper motors driving opposite sides of their gantry being in absolute synchronization. Dynatorch utilizes a heavy duty gear and shaft cross drive system. This means your gantry is always in perfect alignment assuring cutting accuracy. Our dual servo gantry uses an electronic cross shaft., and has a servo motor and gearbox on each end of the gantry.
Dynatorch controls, guides and protects all cabling including the plasma torch cable in tough Igus cable guide used in the most expensive commercial grade systems. Your cabling is not only protected but kept out of the way of all moving parts.
