Imagine being able
to overcome quickly and affordably one of the most annoying problems associated
with plasma cutting. Problems occur
whenever the torch is required to touch the material surface.
If the torch needs
to touch the material during initial height sensing, the torch nozzle could
become fouled by dirt on the material surface, ruining the nozzle.
Additionally, if you are cutting thin (gauge) material it can spring
upwards after sensing, allowing the material to touch the nozzle when starting a
cut. This will cause a double arc
to occur also ruining the nozzle. Some
plasma generators will not fire at all if the material touches the nozzle.
Typically this condition requires the operator to hold down the material,
away from the nozzle, to permit cutting to start at all.
This is awkward to say the least.
The Dynatorch DASH
‘No Touch’ Sensing System, positions the torch at its correct piercing
height, without the need to touch the material surface. All problems associated with torch touching the material
surface are eliminated. Materials
with substantial lack of flatness problems are no longer difficult to cut.
Thin HVAC materials, that in the past,
needed operator intervention to cut, are now cut effortlessly.
The DASH system is
switchable between conventional initial height sensing and “No Touch

system encounter any operational difficulty it will switch automatically to
conventional touch operation.
