NEW Torch Collision Detector

The Electronic Collision Detector attaches directly to Dynatorch lifter station eliminating the need for pivot protection. When the torch encounters a force of 3-5 pounds in any radial direction (that is, a sideways hit), the torch will issue an Emergency stop command to the Dynatorch drive system. This unique radial design will not be affected by axial (straight up and down) loading, so when the Torch is moving down to search for the plate, it will NOT trigger an E-Stop.
This device protects the torch and gantry from tip-ups and obstructions that could damage the torch or machine. Competitive detectors that have the same function generally sell for $1000 or more.
This unit features overload protection and is rugged for repeated operations. Simple to retrofit on existing machines, or if you include it when you buy our drive system, we will install it on the lifter station for you. Unit is fully insulated from the gantry and table to prevent damage to the drive system by stray plasma power currents.
